Jane D. Nguyen

Jane graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Houston in 1996, a Juris Doctorate from the University of Houston Law Center in 1999, and a Masters of Public Health from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in 2005. She has experience working as in-house counsel for health systems in Texas and now focuses on immigration, business and family law in private practice. Jane is admitted to practice law in Texas and also before the U.S. District Court of the Southern District of Texas. Jane is also a member of the Asian American Bar Association, a Board Member of the University of Houston Asian Alumni Association, and Council Member to the University of Houston Alumni Organization.





Joy J. Al-Jazrawi

Joy graduated with a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science from Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee. At Rhodes she was a member of with the Gamma Phi Beta sorority. Joy obtained her Juris Doctorate from St. Mary’s School of Law in San Antonio, Texas and was a member of Phi Delta Phi, legal fraternity. Joy was admitted to practice law in Texas in 1999. Joy became Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Immigration and Nationality Law in 2008. Joy is also admitted to the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals and also before the U.S. District Court of the Southern District of Texas. Joy’s legal practice focuses solely on immigration law and she has represented clients in many family based and employment based permanent residency matters as well as various visa classifications. She also focuses on removal proceedings before the United States immigration courts. Joy has also been an adjunct faculty member at Texas Southern University teaching family immigration law.





Daniel H. Chen

Daniel received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas at Austin and subsequently graduated from Syracuse University School of Law. At Syracuse, he served as the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association’s President to re-establish the chapter. Daniel was introduced to immigration law while working on a family law case in Syracuse with issues involving the Violence Against Women’s Act. Confirming that the snow and cold weather in New England was only appealing to him for a limited time, Daniel returned to Houston to work in a respected immigration law firm prior to starting his own practice. Daniel’s current practice focuses primarily on immigration law having assisted clients to obtain citizenship, permanent residency, and various non-immigrant classifications. He is admitted to practice law in Texas and before the U.S. District Court of the Southern District of Texas. He currently serves on the Association of Chinese American Professionals Board having been active with its scholarship awards committee for several years. He was also a former officer and committee member for the Asian American Bar Association.
